Simon Gallup (born June 1, 1960) is famous for being bassist. He currently resides in Duxhurst, Surrey, England. Bassist for the post-punk goth band The Cure, the group known for songs like “Friday I’m in Love,” “Burn,” and “Just Like Heaven.” For the first time in years, The Cure performed live without their bassist Simon Gallup. The decision came after a “serious personal situation” prevented Gallup from playing with the band for their headlining set at Fuji Rock Festival in Japan.
